I was so excited I already have Chapter Two up!

I was so excited about this story that I wrote it down last night! I just typed it up and I hope you like it. It is in Josh's point of view. Comment and say if you like Josh's POV better or Rochelle's. Thanks a million. Here it is, the very romantic Chapter Two of the story I still have yet to make a title for.

Chapter Two

~Josh~

She blew me away with a wind as strong as riptide. I could barely see her in the darkness, but I had already fallen for her.

I was too nervous to text her, nevermind call her. I waited for days. After 5 days, I finally texted her. I would send her messages like of those I would send to my buddies. I was too nervous. Time went by and we continued our suffering text relationship. I didn't even go to the beach to swim at night. And soon, it was the last day before I would go back home. I either had to meet her somewhere, or never see her again. So during the day, I left a note at the house who's lights had been flickering, the one she said was hers. I had written:

Roch-

Sorry I couldn't go to the beach at night lately.

I've been busy. I'll be there at 10 tonight

Bring your bathing suit.

-Josh

The rest of the day went by slowly. I started packing some stuff, but got bored and watched TV. There was nothing on TV, so I took a walk. Everything was just so boring. I couldn't even savor the last full day of being here, being so focused on the last night.

After eons and eons of waiting, 9:45 finally came. I biked over to the beach, wearing a Beatles t-shirt and some blue swim trunks. I arrived at 9:55, so I thought I would be there before her. But I saw Rochelle's thin silhouette, sitting criss-cross-applesause, facing the ocean. I grabbed my bag and ran towards her, quickly and quietly, moving too quickly to let the sand squish between my toes.

I went right behind her, held my breath, and covered her eyes. She screamed shrilly. I laughed at her surprise, and plopped down next to her. "So you do get scared easily." I said, trying to sound carefree. But I actually had a swarm of butterflies in my stomach. I thought it was supposed to be the girl who was nervous in this situation.

She smiled and clicked on the flashlight she was holding. She shined it in my eyes. "Quit picking on me!" she snickered. I blinked several times so the dots in front of my eyes from the harsh glare of the flashlight would disappear. Once had egned vision, I looked to see she was shining the flashlight on her own face.

Wow. That was the first thing that came to my mind. Wow. IT was the first time I'd seen her in light and dry. Her hair was the exact same color as the sand, and it ended with curls like waves at the bottom. Her eyes were a blueish green color, just like the summer sea in the morning. Her lips were a light, coral pink just like the seashells I grabbed for my mom. Everything about her reminded me of the sea. And like the sea, she was impossibly beautiful.

She giggled like a melody and turned the flashlight off. "What are you looking at?" she asked lightly.

"Uh, nothing." I murmured like an idiot. We said nothing after. I really needed to bump up the romantic factor there.

"So, did you tell me to bring my bathing suit for nothing?" she asked, peeling of her shorts and camisole to reveal her blue and white striped bikini. It looked amazing on her slender body. I shook my head and pulled my eyes away so I could take of my shirt.

"Race you to the water! Ready? Set? Go!"

We both ran as fast as we could, but I got a couple of steps ahead of her and dove into the water first. While I was under, I heard the splash and saw the bubbles of her arrival.

When I surfaced, I was greeted with water whipped at my face. I heard Roch giggle.

"Oh, you're in for it now!" I called, chasing after her and splashing. She ran from me, laughing the whole time, as I sent waves of water towards her back. Well this was going better than I planned.

She ran slowly, being dragged down by water, but eventually, she reached the shore. She started to run towards the dry sand. Before she could make it, I grabbed her waist and pulled her back towards the water. I whispered "You can never get away from me." in her ear. We fell on the shore line, tackling each other. We gave up at the same time and we just lay there, the soft, barely there waves nipping at our thighs. I lay on my side to look at her. She was just gazing at the sky, which was scattered with millions of stars. She closed her eyes and whispered,

"Star night, star bright,

The first star I see tonight,

I wish I may, I wish I might,

Have the wish I wish tonight."

She paused, and without looking down from teh sky, she murmured. "I wish Josh would just kiss me already."

I was shocked at her bravery, but now was the time to take action. I searched my mind for something romantic to say. Got it. I turned her on to her side.

"Your wish is my command."

She smiled and we both tilted our heads to the right. I leaned towards her, slowly closing my eyes until I hit my target.

Her lips were soft, and they tasted like sea salt. Underneath the smell of the ocean was a faint hint of vanilla. She came closer to me, as if she were melting into my chest. I put my arms around her waist. I didn't want to ever stop kissing her. Fireworks were going off in my head, and I couldn't even remember my own name. The only word to describe it was... magical.

She slowly pulled away. "Josh..." she whispered. Ah, Josh, that was it.

I didn't say anything. I just reached for my bag and felt around inside it, refusing to pull my eyes away from her. I pulled out two sparklers and handed one to her.

"It's to celebrate the last night of summer." I explained.

We wordlessly lit them and ran around the empty beach, laughing at the beautiful sparks around us. This was my perfect moment, me with a perfect girl, running along an empty beach. When they went out, we collapsed on the dry sand. exausted from the running.

"Josh?" she whispered. "What if we never see each other again?"

I combed her drying hair soothingly as she rested her head on my chest. "We will. I promise."

She looked at me with those beautiful eyes of the sea and held out her pinky. "Pinky-swear?" she asked quietly.

"Pinky-swear." I vowed back. We locked pinkies and shook.

"Oh, and no crosses count." she declared, making sure the only loophole to a pinky-swear was eliminated.

"No crosses count." I agreed.

We lay there for a little bit, just cuddled together, looking at the sea and the stars. I barely knew her, but I felt like I had known her my whole life. Soon, too soon, the lights from her house started flickering.

We stood up slowly, both not wanting to leave. "Remember, you pinky-swore." Roch whispered. I nodded, and pulled her in for one last kiss. It was like the last one, except less salty and more intense. She was so delicate, like water in my arms. She was the one to pull away again. "Godbye Josh." she said softly, giving me a peck on the cheek.

I watched her grab her camisole, denim shorts, and flashlight. She jogged to her house, leaving little tufts of sand at her heels. I kept watching her figure get smaller and smaller until I saw her open the door to her house. I started walking to the entrance of the beach to get my bike.

I didn't know much. But I did know that was the best last night of summer ever.

And I did know I would see her again.

I had to. I pinky-swore.

How did you like it? Very romantic, huh? But I still need a title! Help please!

Chapter One(:

Okay so here is Chapter One of my story! I don't have a title for it, so please help me out on that one. Also try and tell me what I can do to do better. Thanks!

Chapter One

~Rochelle~

The sea was all I could think about. It washed over my toes slowly and gently, like it was saying a soft "hello". The wind had been long gone by then. But in eleven hours, the wind and waves would be roaring, the women and men would be talking, children would be splashing, and seagulls would be squawking... but for now, the night sea was my own personal heaven. It dragged me towards the depths. I gave in, wading a little deeper before letting the warm, peaceful water swallow me whole.

I stayed underwater in content of the freeing feeling of the water surrounding me. There was no noise, just the peace of the calm ocean covering me on all sides. I opened my eyes to find green, murky water all around me. The yellowish-green sand was filled with various types of sea shells, washed up from the tide. I looked towards the shore and saw a strange shape through the green haze. Although I was running out of breath, I swam towards the object instead of poking my head out to see what it was. I swam closer and closer to realize it was... a pair of feet.

I underwater-screamed in shock and instantly jumped out of the water so fast that I fell right back on my butt in the three-foot water. I sputtered and rubbed my eyes before looking up.

There was a tall guy around my age with tan skin and slightly tousled black hair looming over me. He looked at me with slight confusion. He had an angular face and... whoa. His eyes were the most beautiful bright green color I had ever seen. The dark surroundings of night made the illusion that they were glowing. He wordlessly offered a hand to help me up. I half smiled, taking his offering. He pulled and I pulled, which soon resulted with me back on my feet. Yay.

"Sorry I scared you." He murmured quietly. His voice was deep, but with a light, mischievous tone to it.

I grinned, mostly because he was cute, not because he was apologizing.

"It's alright, I get scared easily."

"Is tat so?/" he asked, a smlie tugging at the side of his lips. "I'm Josh. I thought I was the only one who came to swim at night. But I usually swim over there." He said, gesturing to the other side of the beach.

"I'm Rochelle, but you can call me Roch." I said, trying to keep my voice as soft and femine as possible. "And I thought I was the only one. I always swim over here. Are you here for the summer?"

He nodded. "Well, whats left of it, anyways. School starts in two weeks for me. I'm here with my dad. And the eight-year-old brat I call 'sister'."

I giggled. "I can tell." I said, looking at the temporary (unless his sister was VERY evil) tattoo of a pair of hot pink lips on his upper arm. While looking there, I saw he had some nice muscles. I smiled a little bit more. He was really cute.

He tried to cover up the temporary tattoo, embarassed. "Uh, yeah." He said simply in monotone. There was an awkward silence. I tried to be cute by running my hand through my hair. I'd forgotten I had just been swimming through seaweed infested water. The tiny pieces always got caught in my hair. My finger got caught on one. I tugged a little bit. My hand stayed in the same position, caught in snarls of seaweed. I could feel myself turn bright red.

Josh didn't laugh like I would expect him to. He just smiled and helped me force my hand out of my hair. "Seaweed?" he asked understandingly. I just nodded. When his hand touched my wrist, I felt a small electric crush-charges running through my veins. I wonder if he felt them too.

Once my hand was free, I saw a flashing at the corner of my eye. A house right on the side of the beach was flashing its lights quickly. I frowned. I had to go home now? Right when my crush cells had found a new home?

"Uh, that's my signal to go home." I told Josh sadly, pointing at my house's flickering lights.

"You're staying there?" Josh asked in amazement, looking at the modern all-glass house right on the beach. I just nodded, and he ran over to his bag, kicking up sand with every step. He pulled out a small rectangular object out of his bag- a cell phone. He handed it to me and told me to program my number in, with the promise that he would text me. I smile-typed in my number, then ran over to my house, waving good-bye to Josh on my way there. I opened the sliding door and stepped into my house, still smiling.

"Gosh Roch, how long were you over there?" complained a snotty voice. It belonged to Jacqueline, who stepped out of the kitchen. Well, she didn't really step, she kind of... floated.

"I was only there for like, an hour. Sorry if I want to get out of this house and away from you." I snapped back at her. She didn't bother retorting like she would do with the other girls. Because she knew I was the second most powerful, next to her, and I might be able to take over. Which I so would as soon as I got the chance.

I shared the house with four other girls- Jamie, Cameron, Hannah, and of course, Jacqueline, the leader. We hare a huge bedroom in our little vacation house. (Okay, not so little) I walked into our room to see the girls settling down, doing some night activities. Jamie was making sparks in the fireplace, Cameron was painting her toenails black and deep purple, and Hannah was dimming the lights. Sounds normal? Well, Jamie didn't have any matches or sticks or rocks; she was making the sparks with her fingers. Cameron was changing the dark shades of her nail polish with the blink of an eye. Hannah was using her mind to dim the lights, not a switch.

Yeah, you heard me. We were freaks with the powers of the elements. I controlled water, Jamie controlled fire, Cameron controlled darkness, and Hannah controlled light. And where did Jacqueline fall into this, you're wondering? She controls all of them. She's the queen bee, the alpha. You get it now? We were messed up from the moment we were born. We met a few months ago, at my house. It had been some thing my parents had set up because they had somehow met the other parents. It was extremely odd, but cool to know we werent the only freak who can control an element. We found out about people in past generations that were like us, having five girls or guys who can control elements. Always, the most powerful (In this case Jacqueline) got to control all the elements. However, if someone over ruled her, they got all the powers. Pretty cool, right?

However, since one of us had an awfully large mouth (Hannah) I guess some bad people that want to use our powers for bad things (Jacqueline didn't go into specifics, so I'm still not completely sure about what's going on) found out about us, so now we are all together, trying to act like normal kids. For safety reasons, our parents didn't stay with us, in case they would be taken hostage or something so then we will have to surrender to save them. Sorry to rush all of that information on you. It may seem jumbled, but that was basically all I knew.

Although it was kind of weird to live with a bunch of girls I had just met a few months ago, it was fun. It was like a sleepover every night. We were kind of like long-lost sisters, seperated at birth. Though we all had seperate parents, we were all born at the same exact time. Like, legit, November 23rd, 1993, at 3:46 P.M. so we were like twins. Kind of.

I went to the bathroom and turned on the hot water. I scrubbed my hair untill it was free of all tiny seaweed clumps and gave it a deep conditioning. After getting all clean and moisturized, I jumped on my bed and went under the covers. I was exausted and had some serious dreaming to do about Josh.

Okay, so I couldn't paste on to blogger so I had to just re-type everything. UGH. Note to self: Type on blogger originially!
